Schedule Requirement: This role requires availability for nights and weekends. Standard coverage hours are 5:00am–9:00pm on weekdays and 6:00am–5:00pm on weekends

The starting pay for this position is $30 per hour
. Final compensation may be adjusted based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) you will report to the Plasma Center Manager and support plasma center operations.
About the role:
- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma
- Manage donor adverse events
- Review laboratory test results
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results
- Work under guidance of Center Manager or Assistant Manager for operational guidance and under management of Center Physician for medical issues
- Familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment
- Follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provide center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS)
How you will contribute:
- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE)
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician’s standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community
What you bring to Takeda:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the required state as LPN or LVN
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $26.88 – $36.96
