Travel Nurse - Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Role

Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) providing skilled nursing care in a long-term care facility.

• Assessing resident health, developing and updating personalized care plans, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring for changes in condition.
• Performing skilled procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management within scope of practice.
• Supervising and supporting LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring quality resident care.
• Educating residents and families on treatments and managing chronic conditions.
• Documenting care, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.

• Recent (minimum one year) experience as an RN in a long-term care setting.
• Valid RN license per state regulations and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS and other facility-specific credentials.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform patient care tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to work under pressure, with good visual and motor skills, and effective communication in English.
