- Assess and document patients' and families' biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs
- Collect and analyze medical-record data to coordinate patient care
- Provide and direct patient care, including medication administration, procedures, and patient monitoring
- Counsel and educate patients and families about disease processes and symptom management
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Consult with healthcare team members and adjust nursing care processes to optimize outcomes
- Manage priorities, supplies, and equipment cost-effectively
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, prescription refills, and other direct-care processes
- Participate in quality-improvement activities
- Contribute professionally through presentations, preceptorships/mentorships, committees, community service, research or professional publications, and professional-organization leadership
- Perform other specialty-specific duties
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Registered Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 2 years of clinical specialty experience
- Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with the Compact Act
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, including a skills assessment component
- Advanced clinical skills, such as PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, or Bone Marrow Biopsy
- Completion of national specialty certification relevant to the working area, if applicable
- Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing - Preferred: 3 years of nursing experience
- Preferred skills include ACLS, Bone Marrow Biopsy, Clinical Care, Electronic Health Records, Emergency Care, Epic EHR, HIPAA Regulations, IV Infusions, Medical Oncology, Medical Record Reviews, PALS, Pediatrics, Renal Nursing, and Vital Signs
- Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
- Successful completion of required pre-employment screening
Demonstrates advanced clinical skills in patient care, including medication administration and monitoring, while effectively managing medical records and collaborating with healthcare teams. Holds relevant nursing licensure and certifications to ensure compliance and quality in clinical practice.
