Job Description
About the role: You will be a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) working under the guidance of a Center Manager or Assistant Manager, performing donor eligibility determinations and managing donor adverse events. You will review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results, support plasma center operations, and comply with industry regulations and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.

This role requires availability for nights and weekends. Standard coverage hours are 5:00am–9:00pm on weekdays and 6:00am–5:00pm on weekends.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, health history interview, physical examination, blood testing and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor reactions as outlined in SOPs, applying medical emergency procedures and coordinating transport to emergency facilities.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents; determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER and follow EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to investigate local pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate level of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for the Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Pay: $26.88 – $36.96 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and fit for the role.
Hourly wage range reflects anticipated revenue; actual offer may vary with qualifications and location.
