RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Medical Oncology

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Complete patient health histories and physical examinations and convey findings to physicians
• Coordinate patient care and order diagnostic tests
• Convey diagnostic findings to physicians
• Attend inpatient rounds
• Coordinate patient appointments and assist with referrals to outside sources
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures and other direct patient-care processes
• Perform nursing administrative duties related to environmental safety, infection control and quality assurance
• Facilitate communication and coordination of care among patients, families and health team members
• Explain routines and procedures to patients
• Coordinate patient-care information with appropriate sources
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to guide patients through complex treatment journeys
• Serve as a resource for staff and support excellent clinical outcomes

• Associate Degree In Nursing Or Diploma In Registered Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Two years of nursing experience
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act
• Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment
• Online BLS certifications without a skills assessment component are not sufficient
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily
• Must complete required pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and applicable background checks, drug screen, employment and education or licensure/certification verification, physical examination, certain vaccinations and/or governmental registry checks

Demonstrates expertise in direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while ensuring effective communication and coordination among patients, families, and healthcare teams. Holds current RN licensure and possesses essential nursing skills to support excellent clinical outcomes.
