School Nurse Part-Time

Summary

We are seeking a School Nurse to join our team at United Cerebral Palsy-Center for Disability Services. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential health services to students, ensuring their well-being and supporting their educational experience. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities, promoting their health and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct school nursing care to students with various health needs.
• Administer medications and monitor students for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify student health issues.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and wellness initiatives.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the state of practice.
• Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
  
  Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and staff.
