Quality Assurance Technician – Joliet, IL
Location: Joliet, IL
Pay Rate: $21.25 – $22.25 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:45 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday) or 3rd Shift (10:45 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday)
Job OverviewJoin the team as a Quality Assurance Technician in Joliet and make sure the line runs clean and steady. You'll inspect, test, and approve every part that keeps production rolling strong.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in quality assurance (preferably in food QA).
- Strong observational skills.
- Physical ability to stand, handle materials safely, and keep pace with crew.
- Team mentality: reliable, steady, and proud to be part of a crew that values doing things right.
- Perform routine quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Inspect packaging, labeling, and product assembly for accuracy and adherence to customer requirements.
- Monitor production processes to identify and address potential quality issues.
- Test product samples for weight, dimensions, and other critical attributes.
- Document inspection results and report deviations to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct audits of the production floor to verify adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Assist in investigating customer complaints or non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials in compliance with food safety standards.
- Participate in training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
