Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities within the meat commissary operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, work-in-process products, finished goods, equipment, and production areas.
- Monitor compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and company food safety requirements.
- Review and maintain quality control records, production logs, temperature monitoring records, and regulatory documentation.
- Investigate product quality concerns, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Verify product specifications, labeling accuracy, packaging integrity, and shelf-life standards.
- Perform environmental monitoring and sanitation verification procedures.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and management to identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements.
- Conduct employee training on food safety, sanitation, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with internal audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Monitor and trend quality performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
- Ensure all quality control equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Support product recalls, traceability exercises, and food safety investigations when necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout production facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and cold-storage environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Frequent bending, reaching, and inspection activities within production areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of quality control, food safety, or meat processing experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Working knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP principles, GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety standards. - Experience conducting audits and maintaining regulatory compliance documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management systems.
Pay Rate:$20 - $25 per hour
- Insurance Package after 60 days of employment
- Paid Time Off after 1 year of Full Time Service
