Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs.

Summary

A Quality Control (QC) team member is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, or processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves inspecting, testing, and documenting results to maintain consistency and prevent defects before products reach customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products
  • Conduct tests using measurement tools, gauges, or lab equipment
  • Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformances
  • Ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications
  • Follow quality control procedures and checklists
  • Assist in developing and improving quality processes
  • Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality records
  • Prepare reports on defects, trends, and corrective actions
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal documentation standards
  • Investigate quality issues and determine root causes
  • Work with production teams to resolve defects
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations (e.g., ISO standards)
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas
  • Use and maintain testing equipment and measuring instruments
  • Calibrate tools as required
  • Report equipment malfunctions

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Ability to follow procedures and documentation standards
  • Time management and organization
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Experience using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting

Safety:

  • Observe and follow health and safety regulations
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents
  • Assign designated safety personnel
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
