Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (overtime may be required)

Are you an analytical chemist looking to contribute to the development of innovative pharmaceutical products? We are seeking a motivated Scientist I to join a dynamic Product Development Science & Technology team supporting both commercial and pipeline small molecule programs.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, utilizing advanced analytical techniques to support pharmaceutical development while collaborating with cross-functional scientific teams.

Position Overview

The Scientist I will perform analytical testing and characterization of small molecule pharmaceutical products and materials. The successful candidate will apply analytical chemistry techniques, troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation, interpret data, and contribute to the development and advancement of commercial and pipeline programs.

This position is ideal for an early-career scientist who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, problem-solving, and working in a regulated GMP environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine analytical chemistry testing independently to generate accurate, reliable, and reproducible results.
  • Support commercial and pipeline small molecule development programs.
  • Utilize and maintain analytical instrumentation, including:
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Gas Chromatography (GC)
  • Spectroscopic methods
  • Learn and apply new analytical methodologies and laboratory techniques.
  • Interpret analytical data and apply critical thinking to troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation issues.
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate analytical challenges and support project objectives.
  • Author scientific protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and related systems.
  • Present experimental results and findings during team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, laboratory procedures, and company standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or another science or engineering discipline.
  • Typically 2+ years of laboratory-based experience.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing and operating instruments for extended periods.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • Power Point
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, protocols, and standard methods with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • HPLC
  • GC
  • Mass spectrometry
  • Associated analytical data systems
  • Experience supporting GMP pharmaceutical analysis.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
