Details for the position are as follows:
- Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 (100% Onsite)
- 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (Overtime may be required)
- Rate: $40-45 an hour
- We are seeking a motivated Scientist I to join a leading pharmaceutical organization's Product Development Science & Technology team. This role will support commercial and pipeline small-molecule development through laboratory-based analytical testing, data interpretation, and scientific documentation in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Perform routine analytical chemistry testing independently to generate accurate, reliable, and reproducible results.
- Support commercial and pipeline small-molecule pharmaceutical development projects.
- Utilize analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, titration, spectroscopy, and related instrumentation.
- Learn and apply new analytical methodologies and experimental techniques.
- Troubleshoot analytical methods, experiments, and laboratory instrumentation using critical thinking and scientific reasoning.
- Design and conduct experiments to investigate technical issues and support development activities.
- Author and maintain scientific protocols, reports, and technical documentation.
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and other required systems.
- Present experimental findings and analytical results during team meetings.
- Adhere to GMP requirements, laboratory safety standards, and company procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related Science or Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory-based experience.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing and operating instruments for extended periods.
- Experience with pharmaceutical analytical testing in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Hands‑on experience with HPLC, GC, mass spectrometry, spectroscopic techniques, and associated analytical data systems.
