QualificationsMust be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic math skills and the ability to count large sums of currency quickly and correctly.
Prior cash‑handling or high‑volume cashiering experience preferred.
Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Well‑groomed, professional appearance.
Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Ability to acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with guests; respond to verbal and visual cues.
Must adhere to safety, regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
Manual dexterity to handle currency, chips, coins, and operate equipment such as calculators, scanners, currency counters, and coin sorters.
Ability to distinguish chip colors and identify valid vs. counterfeit currency.
Proficiency with computers and adding machines.
Awareness of MTL/MIL/CTRC‑N activity and ability to report concerns to supervisors.
Provide fast, friendly, and accurate cashiering services to guests and team members.
Redeem chips, fast‑cash tickets, coupons, and process jackpots.
Handle check cashing, credit card advances, POS debits, and various cashiering transactions.
Prepare, issue, and collect departmental banks and maintain accountability for assigned funds.
Open, operate, and close an assigned cashier window each shift.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area.
Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
Answer guest questions and provide helpful, knowledgeable service.
Work closely with other departments to support property and departmental goals.
Follow all state regulations, company policies, and Cage procedures.
Maintain awareness of MTL/MIL/CTRC‑N activity and report concerns to supervisors.
Operate equipment such as currency counters, coin sorters, encoders, scanners, and calculators.
Demonstrate professionalism, composure, and strong customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
Serve as a role model and represent Harrah’s with pride and integrity.
