Retail Shortage Control - Part Time

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service!

• Stand at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas for the entire shift, maintaining a professional appearance and vigilant awareness.
• Greet every customer and associate with eye contact, a warm smile, and a loud, friendly greeting to promote a sense of control and security.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and review, analyze, and comprehend business trends related to theft and shortage.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards.
• Support and guide associates in training on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Role‑model safety as a top priority, addressing any unsafe practices immediately.
• Effectively communicate information about theft prevention during store rallies, collaborating with the Manager on Duty.
• Build trust and respect among customers and associates through a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greetings.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations (preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, visually monitor store environment, and work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting.
• Strong communication skills with customers and co‑workers.
• Excellent leadership skills to foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Competitive wage of $15.00 per hour
