PositionSenior Solution Consultant (Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer) – US Commercial Sales Regions
Responsibilities- Actively participate in the sales process and collaborate with direct and channel sales teams.
- Discover and understand customer requirements and align SailPoint solutions accordingly.
- Present SailPoint business functions, value, and competitive differentiators.
- Provide product demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Assist in developing RFP responses in coordination with the RFP response team.
- Participate in onsite and remote Proof of Value (POV) evaluations.
- Provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a pre‑sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of technical infrastructure: web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories.
- Conversant in modern SaaS architecture.
- Familiarity with Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, Azure/AWS/GCP (desired).
- 3+ years working with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions (preferred).
- BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Learn the Identity Security and Identity Management space.
- Participate in demos, best‑practice training, presentation skills, and negotiation.
- Handle initial demos and discussions in IGA.
- Attend Revenue Onboarding for Challenger Sales training.
- Hone technical discovery skills.
- Pitch to Account Executives to master messaging and build relationships.
- Coordinate internally with Customer Success, Product Management, Professional Services, and Partners.
- Tie presented solutions back to business value.
- Contribute to new technical collateral for organization‑wide use.
- Grow familiarity with IT audit functions and regulatory frameworks: SOX, HIPAA, NERC‑CIP, GDPR, CCPA.
- Speak at national or regional conferences.
- Build personal brand through networking.
- Articulate SailPoint business value as a strategic sale.
- Communicate at the business level with non‑IT stakeholders.
- Be fluent in the language of Identity Security.
Residence in the United States or Chicago preferred; 25% travel within the U.S. required.
