Sales Account Manager – Chicagoland area (Air Products & Chemicals, Inc.)

• Existing Customer Account Management: managing relationships, creating value, growing wallet share, and profit management.
• New Business Development: selling portfolio of products, equipment, and services to target accounts, including new-to-market and competitive prospects; maintain consistent field presence, prospecting, and timely direct‑marketing follow‑up.
• Collaborate with product managers and the broader customer‑facing organization (commercial technology reps, customer engineering, microbulk sales reps, and Gen Gas business development managers).
• Operate effectively in a matrixed organization and partner with sales and marketing teams across the North Sub‑region and wider Air Products organization.
• Prioritize and manage time and organization skills to achieve business objectives.
• Travel overnight as required for territory coverage, trade shows, and team meetings.

• 4‑year college degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience with strong technical aptitude.
• 3–4 years of successful sales experience, industrial gas experience a plus.
• Robust analytical abilities and financial acumen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior presentation skills.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Works well in a collaborative, high‑energy team environment and can navigate challenging conversations.
