Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support students, parents, and educators in our retail store. In this role, you'll lead by example on the sales floor, providing expert guidance on band and orchestra instruments, rentals, repairs, and accessories. You'll drive store sales, support lesson enrollment, and ensure outstanding customer experiences. Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, cash handling, merchandising, and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates have strong retail or music sales experience, product knowledge, and a passion for music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert in-store sales support for instruments, rentals, repairs, and accessories
• Advise students, parents, and educators on product selection and services
• Drive sales, rentals, and lesson enrollments to meet store goals
• Perform opening and closing procedures and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain merchandising, inventory organization, and store presentation standards
• Support and mentor junior sales associates on products and sales techniques
• Coordinate with lesson program staff to promote and fill lesson schedules
• Assist with customer issues, returns, and service follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
• Promote community engagement events and school partnerships
• Uphold company policies and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive culture
