As a Security Officer – Unarmed Rover in Joliet, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, and loading areas, staying highly visible to help deter security-related issues. You will check doors, gates, and dock activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors.

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

• Monitor access points and control entry for employees, drivers, and visitors by following post orders, verifying authorization, and directing traffic flow as needed.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarm activations, disturbances, medical situations, and/or weather-related events per site procedures.

• Document and report security-related activities, hazards, and incidents using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate significant issues to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
