Experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on complex electrical and mechanical industrial equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. Role includes advanced metal fabrication, welding, carpentry, plumbing, three-phase electrical work, and mentoring/training junior staff while documenting work and communicating downtime/status to management. Position is physically demanding (medium-heavy), requires reading electrical/mechanical drawings, basic computer skills, and offers $30–$39/hr plus benefits.
Maintenance Technician IIIIn this role you will perform maintenance tasks of advanced complexity in support of production and facilities, coach and train others in performance of maintenance tasks.
As a Maintenance Technician III you will:- Troubleshoot, repair and installation of a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical equipment, including manual and automatic machines
- Work on process controls and/or electronic controls
- Work independently on secondary distribution systems, house wiring and three phase industrial power
- Perform general maintenance on machines, conveyors and structural material; including welding using arc, gas or automatic welding equipment
- Perform general layout and construction activities requiring advanced metal fabrication, carpentry and plumbing skills
- Communicate status of repairs and/or expected down times to Maintenance Manager and Production Managers and Supervisors as needed
- Work with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of maintenance tasks as needed
- Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Communicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization.
- Has experience using small hand and power tools
- Possesses basic computer skills
- Is able to read and work from construction, mechanical and electrical drawings
- Has basic construction skills in light metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing and electrical
- Is capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of manual and automated machinery independently
- Has the ability to read and follow complex equipment operating instructions.
- Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- 2+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
- 5 or more years' experience installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of manual and automated machinery desirable
- 5 or more years performing building maintenance work
- Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles

- Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance
