A Day in the Life:

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining industrial process and packaging equipment at required operating levels, troubleshooting electrical equipment, replacing parts, repairing equipment, and performing preventive maintenance.

Position Details

Shift: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday
- Friday with rotating on-call schedule.

Pay: $29.57 per hour.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Execute maintenance electrical work orders
  • Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical equipment as assigned
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair any problem of electrical nature including, but not limited to, MCC panels, equipment wiring, PLC cabinets, wiring motors, and working with instrumentation
  • Work with voltages from 12v to 480v, may be trained to work with 4160v switch gear
  • Verification of successful repair/installation prior to equipment turn over to operations
  • Comple necessary permit before work to ensure proper LOTO
  • Have a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and notify operations of safety alarms
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of hand tools and electrical tools, including multi-meter
  • Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment.
  • Skilled equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations
  • Ability to work with computerized control systems
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the season.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical classes/certification
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting
  • Agricultural experience
