CNC Maintenance Mechanic III
Job Details- Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (Weekends as Needed)
- Location: Alsip, IL
- Starting Pay: $36.40 per hour (full‑time hourly position)
- Sign On Bonus: $2,000.00
The CNC Maintenance Mechanic is a team member who efficiently plans, installs, and repairs CNC and manual machines. We seek a reliable professional with strong mechanical aptitude who follows safety procedures and ethical standards. The candidate will be proficient in blueprint reading and collaborate seamlessly with the team.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and adhere to company safety procedures to ensure the well‑being of oneself, co‑workers, contractors, customers, and property.
- Promote a culture of safety, report unsafe practices, and actively contribute to a secure working environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace, in line with preventative maintenance programs.
- Prepare and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
- Lead equipment installation, removal, or relocation.
- Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, troubleshoot, and determine repair needs.
- Implement Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when servicing machines.
- Demonstrate excellence in performing all other assigned duties.
- At least 3 (three) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines.
- At least 3 (three) or more years of maintenance experience, with proven knowledge in CNC and manual machine equipment.
- At least 2 (two) or more years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, as well as heating, cooling, and general building systems.
- At least 2 (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- At least 2 (two) or more years of experience utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Mechanical Aptitude & Technical
Skills:
Strong understanding and hands‑on experience with precision tools, machinery, and industrial processes, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. - Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and reading English.
- Strong competency in critical thinking and effective problem‑solving within technical or fast‑paced environments.
- Onsite industrial manufacturing position, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to knee, bend, climb a ladder, and work in restricted spaces, walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in high elevations, i.e., scissor lift.
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred

Travel & Work ArrangementsThis position is fully based on site at Alsip, IL location.
Union RelationshipWe partner with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. New employees are regarded as probationary for the first 60 working days; after probation the employee will join the union with an initiation fee and monthly dues.
