Responsible for coordinating and executing construction activities of assigned tasks to ensure work is completed in a safe, quality, and productive manner on the job.
Location & TravelThis role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs. In addition to your hourly pay, you’ll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment.

EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and comply with all company safety policies and procedures and lead the team to do the same.
- Lead a team of 1–3 apprentices/laborers in safe and productive construction activities.
- Ensure that workers perform their jobs skillfully and efficiently.
- Make certain that assigned work progresses on schedule.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders for workers and assign duties.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase crew efficiency.
- Assist the Senior Journeyman with inventory, tracking, and forecasting of materials.
- Handle routing of material and equipment and layout of work areas.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Coordinate activities with the jobsite superintendent or foreman on individual projects.
- Complete required equipment maintenance reports and equipment/materials transfer reports.
- Preplan daily activities and monitor tasks.
- Monitor small tooling maintenance and storage and site materials.
- Complete required employee documentation when required.
- Travel to different job sites on limited notice.
- High school diploma or GED and three or more years of related experience in construction.
- Training and experience in electrical/high voltage substations preferred.
- Experience with LV systems, blueprints, and control wiring terminations preferred.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day‑to‑day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward safety principles.
- Read blueprints skillfully.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Work well under pressure and within timelines.
- Read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Present information in small‑group situations to customers and other employees.
- Apply basic arithmetic in all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
- Use common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
