As a new Restoration technician at SERVPRO of Aurora/Lockport/Lemont/Homer Glen/Joliet, you will be part of a team that focuses on excellent service, fairness, and mutual respect. The Restoration technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment and assigned service vehicle.

Training and development programs are available, which can include industry certifications.

In this position, you will be making a difference each day as we work toward the goal of making fire and water damage “Like it never even happened®!”

• Interior trim installation
• Window installation
• Occasional exterior work
• Job site cleanup
• Maintain customer relationships
• Address job site issues with customer and project manager

• Experience in both rough and finish carpentry with an emphasis on the finish side; drywall skills a plus
• Ability to work independently and problem solve or as part of a team
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• Take great pride in your work and maintain high levels of honesty and integrity
• Display excellent knowledge of building materials, residential and commercial structures and tools of the trade
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
• 1-2 years of carpentry experience

• Effective oral communication with basic math and computer skills
• Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred
• High school diploma/GED

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
• Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Starts at $( 25.00 )/hour based on experience, with possibility of overtime pay and increases based on merit.

Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
