Maintenance Technician

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our single-family rental portfolio. In this field-based role, you will troubleshoot and repair home systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and exterior structures. You'll complete resident service requests, perform preventive maintenance, document work in mobile systems, and support turns between residents. Working closely with property management and vendors, you'll help ensure homes are safe, functional, and well maintained, delivering responsive, high-quality service aligned with our performance-driven, resident-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests for single-family homes
• Diagnose and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, and exterior home repairs as needed
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce future service issues and costs
• Support home turns, inspections, and readiness between resident occupancies
• Accurately document work orders, parts used, and time in mobile systems
• Coordinate with property management, vendors, and residents to schedule work
• Follow safety procedures, codes, and company standards on all jobs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to residents at all times
