Full-Time Position

Commercial Maintenance is seeking a SUPERVISOR/SENIOR MANAGER--AND Facilities Maintenance Technicians– Commercial Properties

MUST BE--dependable, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance SUPERVISOR/SENIOR MGR-AND Facilities Maintenance Technicians– Commercial Properties to perform maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep at multiple commercial retail and shopping center properties throughout the Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

This position requires traveling between properties throughout the day using a company vehicle while SUPERVISING THE PERFORMANCE of a wide range of maintenance, repair, and grounds keeping duties , completing work orders, responding to maintenance issues, performing repairs, documenting completed work, and assisting with property improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong construction and maintenance background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate professionally with management, tenants, vendors, and coworkers.

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 5 years of construction or building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience
• Ability to safely operate and use basic hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to use smartphones, tablets, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and work order management software
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed

• Minor-Working knowledge of:
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Electrical repairs
  • Drywall installation and repair
  • Painting
  • Carpentry
  • Concrete and asphalt repairs
  • Welding and metal fabrication
  • Landscaping

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and work at various heights
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Travel between multiple properties throughout the day

• Employee must provide basic hand tools
• Company provides specialized tools, equipment, materials, and a company vehicle for work-related travel

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Alternating Saturdays as needed
