Description:
- Client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and utility systems.
- This position plays a critical role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
- The Maintenance Mechanic will serve as a technical resource to manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams, responding to equipment issues, performing planned maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement efforts to minimize downtime and maximize production throughput.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
- Respond to equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Perform welding, fabrication, piping installation, pump and motor repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and repair documentation.
- Support production operations while ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, OSHA, USDA, and Client standards.
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or mechanical/electrical technician experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience supporting high-speed manufacturing or packaging equipment.

- Experience with CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems.
- Experience performing TIG, MIG, or stainless‑steel welding.
- Industrial electrical experience and knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification, vocational training, apprenticeship, or military maintenance experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and hands‑on maintenance experience will be considered.
