Team Coach

Overview

The purpose of this position is to handle all day-to-day operations of the Competitive Team program. This position is responsible for the development and growth of our USAG Competitive program and involves all aspects of working within the Competitive Division: staff, scheduling, operations, and customer service. Competitive Coaches will coach all aspects of gymnastics in high quality with focus on development, safety, techniques, and progress.

• Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. along with email, iClass Pro and any other technology needed for the gymnastics industry
• Specialized knowledge of the USAG code, competitive teams, recreational programs and leadership/supervision
• Ability to multitask
• Outgoing, friendly personality. Must like to work in a family friendly environment
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR and other required, pertinent certifications.
• 3+ Years of experience coaching competitive programs
• 18 years old or older

This position will require working mostly evenings. This position will involve coaching, spotting, seated desk work, janitorial duties, and moving equipment. This position requires the ability to lift heavy objects.

• 5 Evenings per week (4pm-8:30pm)
• 1 Weekday Morning (9am - 2pm)
• Saturday Morning (8am - 12:30pm)

We are fortunate to have, not only one but, two great facilities! Our Rec Campus is completely dedicated to our recreational gymnasts, tumblers, and ninja stars with specialized equipment for learning the fundamentals of the sport. The Team Campus facility caters to the competitive gymnasts in the Xcel, and USAG, leagues. This is a state-of-the-art facility with soft landing surfaces for every event making it conducive for all levels to train higher level skills.

We are committed to providing the best experience for our kids regardless of which avenue they would like to explore in tumbling and/or gymnastics. Whether it be recreational or competitive (IHSA Gymnastics, Xcel, or USAG), Flip Star is the gym for all kids!

Our coaches are selected based on their knowledge, experience and attitudes. They are all certified and highly-experienced/trained, so that our participants can have a safe, educational and fun time at Flip Star.

We are located right off of I-80 and route 30. Close to I-355 as well. Easy to get to/from Chicago, all suburbs, and Indiana.
