CDL Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS is responsible for safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifying inventory, maintaining vehicle inspections, and upholding high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and builds strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials—using forklifts or manual methods—handling up to 100 lbs.
• Operate in varied weather, noise, and high‑volume traffic while traveling within a 200‑mile radius.
• Read and interpret job‑related documents in English.
• Maintain DOT/OSHA compliance through regular inspections and safety procedures.
• Coordinate on‑site delivery schedules and provide yard support as needed.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement.
• Clean driving record and possession of a current DOT medical certificate.
• Experience operating forklifts and working in varied conditions.
• Legal driving age 18+, 21 for interstate or hazmat duties.
• Pass background checks, drug screening, and E‑Verify; FMCSA Clearinghouse verification required.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance and multi‑drop delivery experience.
• Familiarity with fleet‑management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
• Multilingual abilities are an advantage.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• Forklift certification (preferred).
• FMCSA registration.

Drivers will manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. Deliveries involve on‑site coordination, yard support, and occasional multi‑drop routes.

Base salary ranges from $25.87 to $32.93 per hour. Overtime may be available based on business needs. Associates may also be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance, and travel expense reimbursement.
