CDL-A Local Driver Opportunity
Join a dedicated CDL-A fleet that offers daily home time, consistent routes, and dependable year-round freight. This local position is ideal for drivers who want a predictable schedule, steady work, and the opportunity to be home every day while operating modern equipment.
Drivers on this account transport international shipping containers between customer locations, rail yards, and terminals. With dedicated freight, local routes, and overnight management support, this account provides the stability and operational support needed for long-term success.
Compensation and Benefits- Average $1350 per week
- Home daily

- Local intermodal position
- Pick up staged international containers from the terminal and deliver to customer locations
- Make two turns per day between the terminal and customer locations
- Some pickups from Chicagoland rail yards
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on containers and chassis
- Follow all customer delivery and check-in procedures
- Unattended drop-and-hook deliveries permitted when approved by management
- Consistent freight and daily routes
- Automatic Freightliner and International tractors
- Slip-seat operation
- Well-maintained equipment
- Trucks remain at the terminal during time off
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
- Ability to safely maneuver equipment within rail yard environments
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow customer delivery procedures and protocols
- Professional and dependable work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Regular interaction with rail yard operations
- Container and chassis inspections required daily
- Support available from onsite overnight management
