Job Description
Position Details:
- Picking up staged International containers from the Yard and deliver them to the customer in Pleasant Prairie, WI or Waukegan, IL
- Two turns from Joliet, to Pleasant Prairie, WI, or Waukegan, IL will be required each day.
- Some pick ups will be from Chicagoland rail yards.
- If no one is on site for delivery at the customer, unattended drop and hooks will be allowed with permission from management.
- Completing pre trip and post trips on all containers and chassis to make sure they are ready for delivery
- Manager will be on site at night if there are any issues
- Drivers may be working and maneuvering through the rail yard
- Making sure we are following customer protocol for dropping containers and checking in with them on all deliveries
- Automatics (Freightliner & International)
- Truck will be left at the terminal
- Trucks are slip-seated
