Job Title:

Warehouse & Logistics Associate (Part Time) – Joliet, IL 60433

Position Type:
Part Time.

Schedule:

15‑25 hours per week, flexible; typical hours 9:00‑5:30 Monday‑Friday, 9:00‑3:30 Saturday, occasional Sundays during peak seasons.

2750 Ellis Drive, Joliet, IL 60433.

Overview

This dual role serves both shipping and receiving departments in a fast‑paced team environment.

Experience with forklift or order picker lift trucks is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare shipments, select containers, pack items securely.
  • Verify shipments against work orders for accuracy.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials, compare packing slips with purchase orders, process returns.
  • Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpackage, and log inventory.
  • Inspect shipments for damages, record discrepancies, notify supervisors.
  • Deliver items to requisitioning departments, obtain signatures.
  • Maintain department database, prepare reports, file shipping/receiving records.
  • Operate dolly, pallet jack, forklift, shrink‑wrap machine, and company vehicles as needed, assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Follow departmental policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Warehouse/shipping & receiving experience is a plus; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Read and write proficiently.
  • Record maintenance and administrative paperwork skills.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Comply with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Track, receive, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain light equipment.
  • Lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform simple arithmetic.
  • Identify problems and report to appropriate personnel.
  • Work varied hours, including weekends, as business requires.
