W18 Material Handler Floor Lead -B Shift

Job Summary

Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and housekeeping. Ensure all shipments are staged, checked, and loaded properly. Provide material handling services for shipping and receiving activities. Oversee forklift and walkie operations, ensuring safety procedures are followed. Reports to shift supervisor.

• Pay: $21.00–22.00 per hour.
• Shift: Wednesday–Saturday 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
• Attendance Incentive: up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance.
• Referral Bonus: up to $500 per referral.
• Hiring Bonus: up to $1,000.
• Step Increase Program: pay increases by $0.50 after 90 days and $0.50 after 180 days.
• Certified/Qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers receive $0.50 per hour.
• Certified/Qualified Reach Truck drivers receive $1.00 per hour.

• Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
• Use WMS and QMS knowledge, Lean warehousing principles, and RF scanner to operate material handling equipment.
• Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
• Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
• Follow safety policies while using lifting devices and maintain clean initiatives.
• Learn day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
• Verify orders are complete and accurate.
• Pick each customer order efficiently to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

• Work with limited supervision and possess urgency and accountability.
• Have general computer and handheld RF equipment skills.
• Work as part of a team and lead when necessary.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Maintain attention to detail and quality.
• Communicate clearly and resolve problems; people skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime and cover other shifts.
• PC skills helpful.
• Experience with sit‑down forklifts and walkies.
• Build pallets with stock and break down stock for independent orders.
• Experience in cross‑docking freight processes.
• Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.

• 2–4 years in a warehouse environment.
• Stable work and attendance record.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Warehousing certifications are a plus.

• Read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
• Communicate in English (read, write, speak).

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide basic math.
• Compute rates, ratios, percent and interpret bar graphs.

• Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Determine root cause and corrective actions.

• Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Remain standing for full shift (8 hours) and may work beyond 8 hours as required.
• Be in sound physical health per certified licensed physician.

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
• Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
