Maintenance Purchasing Technician
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Purchasing Technician performs technical and administrative procurement duties in support of building maintenance and operations. Responsibilities include sourcing materials, managing purchase orders and P-Card transactions, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with procurement, accounts payable, maintenance staff, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Procures parts and materials for maintenance work orders in accordance with established policies
- Prepares, processes, and tracks purchase orders and related documentation.
- Reconciles and manages P-Card transactions for maintenance purchases.
- Coordinates with procurement staff to ensure compliance with bidding and purchasing requirements
- Works with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely vendor payment
- Receives, verifies, and records materials in Banner and CMMS systems.
- Coordinates with warehouse staff to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Pick up and deliver materials to maintenance job sites as required.
- Obtains quotes and manages bid processes when applicable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably in maintenance, facilities, or construction environments. Knowledge of purchasing procedures, financial processes, and inventory systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Proficiency with systems such as Banner, CMMS, or similar platforms preferred. Experience in public sector or institutional purchasing preferred.
Experience with P-Card administration preferred. Familiarity with facilities or maintenance operations preferred.

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned high school diploma or equivalent A valid Arkansas driver's license.
