Exam Proctor

Overview

New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) seeks an examination proctor to oversee in‑person and occasionally virtual examinations for undergraduate and graduate students.

• Oversee in‑person and occasionally virtual examinations for NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and Master’s in Biomedical Sciences students, including those requiring disability‑related accommodations.
• Strictly enforce academic policies and exam‑specific regulations.
• Monitor students continuously throughout the testing period, provide seating/testing instructions, and manage check‑in and check‑out processes.
• New proctors must obtain training from head/lead proctors and attend NYITCOM’s Academic Affairs annual proctor meeting at the beginning of each academic year.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or higher required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks.
• Well organized and computer efficient.
• Must be able to move quietly about the examination room(s).
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to enforce NYITCOM/NYIT policies for exams.
