Sales Engineer - Solutions Development

Duravant Integrated Solutions is focused on providing solutions to both integrator and end‑user customers. Integration Services leverages the products from our Duravant family of companies, which includes automated equipment for food processing, packaging, and material handling along with products and services from strategic equipment partners.

Integrated Solutions is adding a Sales Engineer, responsible for working with customers, in coordination with sales, to produce conceptual designs that fulfill current and future needs. The Sales Engineer must stay current on industry‑leading technologies and best practices. In addition to conceptual design, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for estimating, schedule development, and assisting in proposal creation.

• Work with sales to evaluate client needs.
• Partner with the OC’s function to understand product capabilities & execution capabilities.
• Understand the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges facing the prospective customer to assist in developing a value‑added solution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and applications.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry specific events and trade shows.
• Produce equipment list and pricing.
• Solicit quotes for equipment and services.
• Maintain drawing block library.
• Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD).
• Develop calculation sheets for productivity, through puts, and rates to aid in solution design.
• Create Information Request Form for initial data capture for new opportunities.
• Schedule technical and price review meetings.
• Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposal.
• Actively participate in process improvement.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of material handling equipment application.
• Technical writing skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style.
• Travel 10-20%.

Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking or hearing; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. Occasional climbing and work in high places, stooping, bending or reaching above the shoulders. Must occasionally lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds. Vision required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth and focus adjustment.
