Sales Engineer - Solutions Development

Integrated Solutions is adding a Sales Engineer, responsible for working with customers, in coordination with sales, to product conceptual desings that fulfill current and future needs. The Solutions Engineer will need to stay current on industry leading technologies and best practices. In additiona to conceptual design, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for estimating, schedule development, and assist in proposal creation.
** This position is based at Duravant in Downers Grove, Illinois.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

Work with sales to evaluate client needs.

Partner with the OC’s function to understand product capabilities & execution capabilities.

Understand the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges facing the prospective customer to assist in developing a value-added solution.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.

Stay current on emerging technologies and applications.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry specific events and trade shows.

Produce equipment list and pricing

Solicit quotes for equipment and services

Maintain drawing block library

Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD)
Develop calculation sheets for productivity, through puts, and rates to aid in solution design

Create Information Request Form for initial data capture for new opportunities

Schedules technical and price review meetings

Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposal

Actively participates in process improvement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years of material handling equipment application

Technical writing skills

Proficient in AutoCADAbility to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity and personal style.

Travel 10-20%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The position is an office-based position with regular visits to the manufacturing area.
