This position is based at Duravant in Downers Grove, Illinois.
PositionDuties & Responsibilities
- Work with sales to evaluate client needs.
- Partner with the OC’s function to understand product capabilities and execution capabilities.
- Understand the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges facing prospective customers to assist in developing a value‑added solution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and applications.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry‑specific events, and trade shows.
- Produce equipment list and pricing.
- Solicit quotes for equipment and services.
- Maintain drawing block library.
- Develop Pricing Review Document (PRD).
- Develop calculation sheets for productivity, throughput, and rates to aid in solution design.
- Create Information Request Form for initial data capture for new opportunities.
- Schedule technical and price review meetings.
- Maintain quote schedule for timely delivery of proposals.
- Actively participate in process improvement.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of material handling equipment application experience.
- Technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to interface with colleagues and customers at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, integrity, and personal style.
- Travel 10-20%.
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
