Role Overview
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Controls Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Rockwell Automation PLCs (Allen-Bradley) to lead industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will work independently to design, install, commission, and qualify shop floor automation control systems, ensuring seamless implementation of automated production lines. Immediate availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification of industrial automation control systems on the shop floor.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLCs (Allen-Bradley), HMIs, and related control hardware.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for new production lines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, process engineering) to integrate automation solutions.
- Perform system validation, FAT/SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ qualification for automation systems.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support during project execution.
- Ensure documentation, change control, and compliance with USA industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automation performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Rockwell Automation PLCs (Allen-Bradley), Control Logix, Compact Logix, and Factory Talk.
- Proven track record in shop floor automation system installation, commissioning, and qualification.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ether Net/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Familiarity with automation standards, safety systems, and regulatory compliance in USA manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Immediate availability to join onsite in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
