Participates in the development, coordination, planning and operational administration of the Medical Staff, Allied Health Professional Staff and Independent Clinical Professional Staff appointment/privileging/reappointment processes. Provides general administrative support to the organized Metro Medical Staff in this regard. Reports to the Director of Medical Staff Services/Director of Quality Improvement. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Coordinates and supports the medical staff with regard to appointment and privileging to ensure that only qualified practitioners provide care in the hospital.
- Coordinates and supports the allied health professionals and independent clinical professional staff with regard to privileges.
- Works to achieve regulatory compliance.
Completes assigned goals.
Other Information EducationMinimum:
Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Preferred:
Experience in credentialing or related healthcare field preferred.
Minimum:
Good communication skills;
Basic computer literacy skills.
