Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary

This role at Sam's Club requires compliance with company policies, procedures, and integrity standards while implementing related action plans. The associate will operate a forklift safely, manage inventory flow, provide member service, maintain facility safety, and support merchandising and club pickup operations. Responsibilities also include identifying improvement opportunities and adapting to change.

• Operate a forklift following company standards, safely picking up, moving, and positioning merchandise pallets.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners.
• Receive and organize merchandise from distribution centers, manage inventory flow, and maintain required documentation.
• Provide member service, acknowledge members, identify needs, and support purchasing decisions and self‑service technology.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting, and handling hazardous materials per company guidelines.
• Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies, including zoning, stocking, rotating, and cleaning displays.
• Ensure club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking, staging, and auditing accuracy.
• Handle inventory moves, track goods, maintain stock levels, and control shrinkage.
• Operate and maintain forklifts safely and report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
• Proactively identify customers who need help, engage them, and provide technology services and assistance.

• 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
