Position: Working Team Leader - Rigid Fabrication (2nd Shift)

Overview

Position Summary
:
The Working Team Lead maintains the production schedule in assigned section by effectively guiding the workforce, interpreting section policies and procedures and utilizing company computer software and approved drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Targets and focuses on the top three operational priorities of the company:
    Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Understands and adheres to the FMH Conveyors, LLC Company Handbook and Section Policies and Procedures.
  • Has detailed knowledge of all production processes of the assigned section and the ability to perform activities utilizing all machinery and equipment in the section.
  • Examines items produced to determine if they meet specifications.
  • Leads by example and works well with other team members.
  • Ensures proper cross-training of associates within the section is being accomplished.
  • Recommends measures to improve section production methods and the effectiveness of the section.
  • Works with each associate in the section to provide opportunities for step progression (cross-training, etc.).

Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to a 10-12-hour shift; ascend, squat, push and pull up to 100 lbs.; bend, twist and reach with hands and arms to feel objects, tools or controls, check and inspect product. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Position Requirements
  • EDUCATION:

    High School Diploma
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems
  • Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work/processes
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems; open to change; strives for continuous improvement of self and processes
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Ability to perform basic math including use of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and read simple blue prints
  • Knowledge of production
  • Experience with lean concepts and tools
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
