Career Painter

Trinity Rail is hiring a Career Painter at our Jonesboro plant.

The Career Painter will prepare, coat, and finish metal and/or other surfaces using conventional and airless spray equipment, following prescribed formulas and safety procedures.

• Prep materials, surfaces, and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, or rubber.
• Apply coatings according to specifications and complete special applications as required.
• Operate spray and hand‑held application of exterior coatings.
• Seal and bake final exterior coatings.
• Apply interior primer coats when required.
• Adjust spray guns, monitor flow and viscosity, and use mill gauge and pressure monitors.
• Clean paint lines, guns, and maintain painting apparatus in working order.
• Regulate oven temperature and air circulation for drying.
• Maintain required paperwork and records.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures.
• Team‑oriented and resilient mindset.
