Lead Product Surface Prep

Trinity Rail is searching for a talented team leader to fill the position of Product Surface Prep Lead with our Jonesboro, AR team! As a member of the Product Surface Prep team at Trinity, you’ll operate hand tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surfaces for coating operations and operate automated blast systems or hand‑held grit blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt.

• Lead a team by assigning tasks.
• Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines.
• Maintain and improve quality.
• Operate tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surfaces for coating operations.
• Operate automated blast system and hand‑held grit ball blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint and dirt.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Proficiently operate automated blast system or hand blast system.
• Purge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminants through simple processes.
• May be involved in committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Understanding of most interior coatings and/or applications.
