Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a Weld Engineer you will prepare materials, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding operations, inspect completed welds, read blueprints, verify measurements, and help fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work.

The Weld Engineer supports manufacturing by joining metal components using MIG welding equipment and established fabrication procedures. This role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
