Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand work orders and production instructions.
- Ability to follow established quality standards and procedures.
- Basic understanding of machine controls and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to report machine or quality concerns.
Job Duties:
- Operate injection molding machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Remove molded parts from machines.
- Trim excess material (flash) from finished products.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Pack finished products for shipment.
- Complete production documentation and work orders accurately.
- Monitor machine performance and report issues to the Process Technician or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
- Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
