More About Our TeamJoin our team where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high‑quality patient care.
How You'll ContributeA Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of infection control processes within a healthcare setting
- Monitor and trend healthcare‑associated infections (HAIs) using risk‑stratified data
- Develop and implement systems to identify, investigate, report, and prevent HAIs
- Review microbiology reports, including cultures and sensitivities, to determine infection origin
- Collaborate with clinical staff to identify potential infection risks and occurrences
- Investigate infection trends, including outbreaks or cases above established thresholds
- Assist in providing education and in‑service training related to infection prevention and control
- Support development and continuous improvement of infection control policies and procedures
- Review and update departmental policies related to infection control as needed
- Communicate infection control findings and initiatives to leadership and committees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Infection Control certification required within 2 years of hire/transfer
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS are required within six of hire.
- One year of experience preferred
- ASLS certification preferred
