Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the SMH Level 2 RN 412 Palliative Care unit provides skilled nursing care to adult patients requiring intensive symptom management at the end of life, as well as general medicine overflow. The role demands strong IV and wound care skills, compassionate care delivery, and the ability to manage complex patient needs and support families in crisis. Astute assessment skills are essential to advocate for patients who may be unable to communicate.
Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired. The nurse collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
