The Manager in Training will travel to several Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts stores in the area while training to become a Store Manager. Responsibilities include purchasing, budgeting, accounting, personnel work, over‑the‑counter direct sales to customers, deliveries, order processing in person or over the phone, and supporting overall store operations through promotion of sales programs and customer and team activities.

- Follow instructions and steps necessary to learn the company's policies, procedures, and business model.
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints.
- Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory taking, reconciling cash receipts, or performing services for customers.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure satisfactory service and quality goods.
- Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level.
- Instruct staff on handling difficult and complicated sales.
- Hire, train, and evaluate personnel in retail sales stores, promoting or terminating workers when appropriate.
- Ensure responsiveness to requests and compliance with company security requirements.
- Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise.
- Have the ability and willingness to advance within the company when a position becomes available.
- Adhere to scheduled work time unless authorized by a manager.

- Reasoning Ability – Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
