Member Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provides member service, resolves member issues, promotes Sam's Club products and services.
• Maintains the checkout area, operates front‑end equipment, processes member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
• Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology.
• Conducts safety sweeps and follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintains entrance and exit areas, ensuring a safe shopping environment, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards and identifying member needs.
• Zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with purchasing decisions and transporting items.
• Executes emergency response procedures, maintains paperwork and logs, and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
• Assists in training new associates on company processes, procedures, new technology, tool functionality, and new program rollouts.
• Identifies shrink and damages, and implements continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners, prioritizing tasks, determining improvement opportunities, and adapting to change.

Hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
