As a Developmental Technician, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. You will operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, following established maintenance schedules and guidelines. You will conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs, and document repair activities in the work order management system.

• Assist or perform primary responsibilities under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and record repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move up and down ladders, work at heights, work in various temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and capacity to pass an MVR report.
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

• Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related background for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

Competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $28.00 per hour, with additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
