Field Service Technician - Installation

Responsible for unloading, installing, and setting up equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Must be experienced with powered hand tools and capable of reading and understanding schematics and assembly diagrams. This position requires heavy travel and strong electrical experience, and the ideal candidate is a responsible and self‑motivated problem solver with a “can do” attitude.

• Properly, timely, and efficiently install equipment and/or upgrades at a customer’s facility
• Use power and hand tools for assembly of large automated systems
• Collaborate with team to assemble, move, and install sorting and conveyor system equipment, sub‑assemblies, modules, and top‑level machine systems in accordance with engineering specifications and procedures
• Properly test and confirm all features and functions perform as designed
• Follow escalation policies and procedures
• Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
• Assemble and set up conveyor‑driven sortation systems
• Verify functioning and conformance to specifications using various hand and power tools

• Ability to travel up to 95% – company pays travel, hotel, and per diem
• 3+ years’ experience installing or servicing material handling equipment, conveyors, or other industrial equipment
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening and questioning skills
• Electrical installation of material handling systems
• Experience using computer, cell phone, email, Microsoft Office and Teams
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine drawings
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
• Communication skills to explain system operations to non‑technical staff and end‑user customers
• Keen attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US passport

• Ability to work minimum 10‑hour shifts
• Ability to lift, push, bend, and unload equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
